Hidden Safari Project

Hidden Safari Project

Description:

This project was very entertaining. We first were asked to draw a picture of an animal that you might find in a safari upside down with a blue colored pencil. After that, we were asked to use either warm or cool colored crayons to create patterns over our drawings. Once the space on our papers was utilized with colors, we were able to look at our picture with special glasses that were made for us. It is the only way to be able to see your animal through the patterns made by crayons.

Extension:

An effective extension activity for this lesson would be to integrate science. We could talk about the different resources animals that you see on a safari live off of. We could also discuss different species, plants, and insects that you may encounter.
